Description

Thanks to the most recent CAF CON (aka Comic Art LIVE), I was able to put together the final page of this story with the previously-purchased penultimate page!

The pages feature a "Hyper-Plastic" Double Superman that was created by aliens, and then captured by Superman and imprisoned in his Fortress of Solitude, supervised by the android Superman copies!

The oddball story featured the double that was created to include a disc that transmitted the synthetic Superman's physical sensations to the real Superman.

When the noble copy realized that he was harming Superman, he decided to take his own life.

The humanity of Superman illustrated by Swan is an awesome thing, and I'm very happy to pick up this page.

That's the uncanny xmen 137 theme. A noble sacrifice to die with your humanity intact rather than live as anything other. I like that half page meant for ads. Just don't see that anymore. If we were to totally undercut that theme, we might have gotten a real crossword puzzle with clues underneath.
