Description

For me, this is the most iconic image of Thor ever produced. It has always conveyed a feeling of hope and wonder, and I'm always inspired by it. I'm amazed by the artistry of John Romita and Joe Sinnott here. Romita's Treasury covers in particular are a sight to see.

The original is in the 'black hole' of collector (and nice guy) Dino Mauricio's collection, so it's an impossibility to ever obtain it. But because I love it so much I commissioned the great Mike Maikowsky to recreate it.

He hit it out of the ballpark.

I'm NOT a great photographer, so my pic doesn't even come close to it's majesty.

Large art at 19X14, I can't wait to get it framed.

Big fan of Maikowsky's work. He always really nails it with these recreations.

The Sinnott ink style is a beast on its own to try and recreate. Lots of work just to get an understanding on how to reverse engineer the piece.
