Description

This page from the Kaanga story in Jungle Comics #46 is attributed to Howard Larsen and Rafael Astarita. Published in October 1943, it is the tale of a pair of con artists trying to sell a fake diamond strike on JuJu Mountain. The spectacular cover to the comic is indeed done by Astarita, but this page seems to have less of his style unfortunately. With the assembly line mentality of the Fiction House work it is very likely that Astarita was at very least a part of this page. He is more obvious within other pages in the story. Will continue to look for another example of Rafael's work and use this as a placeholder until then.

Still a neat piece of comics history from the World War II era.
