DescriptionFantastic action from the magnificent pairing of JB and Jim. Thor smacks Pluto in the face, while the Warriors Three deal with his trolls, each in their own inimitable style – Fandral with dashing blade (TWOK!), Hogun with a grimace (CHOK!) and the mighty Volstagg with a side-swipe of his belly (WHOMP!). I love the crowded scene in the last panel, with the trolls squashed together and one with his helmet toppling off. Methinks the artists enjoyed themselves too much on this page!It seems as though most/all of the pages from this issue suffered some water damage, in varying degrees. This one came out better than most, avoiding the mold spots that other have. I’m not sure whether this was a leak at the Marvel warehouse, or subsequently at a dealer’s warehouse, but so many I’ve seen have a little staining and light rippling in places. Social/Sharing |

WHTOMP! That's the sound Mjolnir makes when it's kicking your butt. Methinks you are right about JB and Mooney having fun with this page. It's a great battle page, and Mooney's inks looks great over JB's pencils. A bold, clean, and fun battle page. Great score. Congrats!
