Description
As a lifelong Daredevil fan, I really enjoyed the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again (in name only - they already borrowed too many elements from the classic Frank Miller/David Mazzucchelli storyline in previous seasons so it's basically just Daredevil season 4) that dropped on Disney+ last week.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Heather Glenn introduced as Matt Murdock's love interest in the series as the character played a significant role in the comics. She debuted in Daredevil #126 (October 1975) and unfortunately met a very tragic demise in the overlooked and very under-appreciated Daredevil #220 (July 1985).

Here's the page where Heather is introduced to readers from Daredevil #126 (she initially appears as a tiny figure yelling "Franky!" in the last panel of the previous page). In the story, the pair meet when Heather barges into Matt's new apartment thinking her ex-boyfriend Franky might still be living there. The sparks fly immediately and Heather soon finds herself enmeshed in Matt's life and ends up playing a key role in the establishment of the Nelson & Murdock storefront legal clinic.

A very cool page by Bob Brown (pencils) and Klaus Janson (inks) from a story by Marv Wolfman!

I wonder if Foggy picks out his clothes.  Anyways, most of Daredevils' love interests result in disaster.  Heather Glen in season 4, caught between Matt and Fisk/Vanessa, has very low odds of making it through the season alive.

Holy shit, what a COOL piece of Daredevil history this is for me! Right from the start, you can just feel that Heather Glenn would become such an important part of Matt’s life. Bob Brown and Klaus Janson did a stellar job capturing her birth into the Marvel Universe. Of course, whenever I think of Heather, my mind always jumps to Daredevil #220, firstly sporting one of the greatest Daredevil covers ever, and that haunting panel of her hanging has been seared into my brain ever since I first read it. Such a tragic yet powerful moment. This is a super fun page to own, kudos for landing it!
