DescriptionHere it is, all of the energy and feel of early Marvel art captured in an iconic image by Michael Cho. This was done for the repackaging reprints of classic Marvel comics in softcover format. Thanks to Michael and Albert for this one. This is larger than twice up pages!Notice the title at the top is written as Cap #1 but Michael has told me that was written in error and it is the cover of Avengers #2. Social/Sharing |

Digging all these Cho MMMW covers. This one's great!

It's unfortunate that there's no way for the scan to give us any sense of scale, but it's a very nicely drawn cover.

Very symbolic of the early era of Avengers with this line up! The shield probably gets finished off with the color red only in the published art. Cho's artistry brings back elements of the Silver Age with a charming combination of boldness and finesse.

Absolutely classic piece of art !
This page screams 60s Marvel.
I'll put Cho right in there with Rude and Cooke as possessing the ability to transport you right back to the Silver Age with their art.
And that's definitely not a bad thing !

Love the classic approach to this, and Cho is just on fire as usual. I did a double take on this in the thumbnails as I thought this was a new Kirby to pop-up!

Cho is an underrated master of all he undertakes. I just wish I'd bought MORE of his art when he was starting out!! He's tremendous.
