Description
When it comes to the Universal Monsters my favorites aren't generally everyone elses. I far prefer the look of the Werewolf of London than I do the Lon Chaney Wolfman. I just think the make up was better 6 years earlier. So when it came time to decide, I picked Henry Hull over Lon Chaney. So I never got that Chaney out of Dave. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll do me one someday, but I think he's probably done with these sketches. So this is the end of my Universal Monster commission for now. The two big ones that I never got were the Chaney Hunchback, and the Chaney Jr. Wolfman. If I have another shot at some point, next up after those would be The Metaluna Mutant, followed by Hjalmar Poelzig, Dr. Werdegast, Renfield, and then I'd start picking off some of the Hammer films...

You should try and run some of the other ones you mentioned, past Dave. He might change his mind. Regarding which makeup is better, I agree with you, but The Wolfman is for me a better scripted film (and its got Maria Ouspenkaya in a movie stealing performance!) as Werewolf of London, which I rewatched recently along with The Wolfman hads a weaker plot and some truly awful accents. I love those old Universal horror films and fifties sci-fi too.

Well, I saw Lon Chaney walking with McKean
Doin' the werewolves of London
I saw Lon Chaney Jr. paintin' in the green, uh
Doin' the werewolves of London
I saw a werewolf drinkin' a piña colada and painted thick
His hair was perfect

Ah-hoo, werewolves of London
He drawn good
Ah-hoo, werewolves of London

Really like this one.  Definitely agree with your previous statement where Dave really thrives with the more unique character requests.  Obviously, nothing against the "normal" requests he gets... those turn out well too.  Just the more special ones like your monster mash seems to get extra attention.  Thank you again for sharing these!
