Gremlins: Mogwai R Us Prelim 01

Ok, I know we're a few steps ahead of preconception and final pencils, but admittedly this screwball composition has taken a while to figure out. Till now, I'd never done anything involving Gremlins. For the record the original film was a lot better than the tacky sequel, which is why I'm evoking the Gremlin designs from that movie. Anyway, this commission shows the lovable Gizmo the Mogwai being chased through a toy store by a new batch of Gremlins. For those that can't see the faint pencils, he is hanging onto a drone arm while a resurrected Stripe is hanging on to the same wing, only down further. Beneath them I have the pack in pursuit with XUV vehicles, which are small enough for the toddler-sized troublemakers to manipulate. However, for comic relief, they can't get their act together, which is very self-explanatory. Admittedly getting the designs of the Gremlins and Gizmo right are as challenging as getting the perspective right on the toy store aisle all this is taking place in. FTR it is the video game aisle, hece the cartridges and large boxes on the ground. As I progress with this piece all will be revealed and hopefully my client will be satisfied. More as it develops.
