DescriptionSome artists need only make a few strokes and create a mood, a feeling a work of art.George Pratt while bracing himself for the epic presentation of Enemy Ace: War Idyll (DC Comics, 1990), rendered a wealth of preparatory sketches of battlefields, soldiers, and workaday life during World War I. In 1992, Pratt gathered these immersive sketches, annotated, into No Man's Land. The present set of vivid wet-brush compositions reflects the intensity of Pratt's approach. Looks great as it is a lone soldier in the middle of a land devoid of any other life. He almost looks non human wearing all the gear in order to survive.
