Description

This was the first piece of Marvel art that I ever bought ($70 at the Disneyland Comic Con, 1971). I always preferred D.C., which might explain why I don't have many spectacular pieces of Marvel art. I was really looking for pages from Kirby's new Fourth World Comics, but I found none at the convention. I shouldn't have been surprised since the comics had only been out for a couple of months at the time. What does surprise me is that it took nearly 20 more years before I found any such originals for sale. I never did acquire a Forever People page and only found an average quality Mister Miracle panel page. The best I ever owned was a very nice first splash from New Gods No. 11.
