I reached out to Dave to see if he'd be interested in contributing to my cover recreation gallery. I gave him three choices and he chose this classic Kirby FF cover. I think he nailed it. He even included the corner box art separately.

I added colors and trade dress in the last image.

Very cool how he leans in with the shadows to give the Thing more emotional weight as the story was the most humanizing of Lee/Kirby that brought the FF back to it's core values after the expansive Galacus Saga.
