Description

When Jim Lee hired writers like Alan Moore, (WildCATS) Warren Ellis, (Stormwatch, The Authority, Planetary) Joe Casey (WildCATS) and Ed Brubaker (Sleeper) to expand and enrich the Wildstorm Universe, I was in fanboy heaven. My brother Jim and I both love Joe Casey and Sean Phillips' run on WildCATS, so I am so grateful to Jim for this awesome Christmas gift! Here we see Spartan (Jack Marlowe, the being once known as Yohn Kohl) rescuing Void (the being that was once Adrianna Tereshkova) from a wonderfully Kirbyesque machine, as Noir and Capt. Anthony Pacheco look on. I am a Sean Phillips superfan, and his art on this series blows me away each time I reread it. Thanks, Jim!

Ooh - this is great. The impact of panel 3 is nothing short of striking, and panel 4's deliberate lack of background detail makes sure that panel 3 sticks with the reader. Really, really cool work and a fantastic present! A two-fer! :) Congrats, Doc!
