Description

In 2004 Mike Deodato Jr. had a brief but memorable 4 issue run on Hulk (in addition to a few more covers) that guest starred Iron Man, including the debut of a cool new Iron Man armor as shown on this splash. A few years later Marvel came out with a deluxe oversized action figure showing the same armor.

Deodato does gritty and brings Iron Man into the brick alleys instead of high tech spaces. It shows the last gasp of the bad ass muscle anatomy styled armor before the redesign of the movie era.

Deodato's work on those Hulk issues were nothing short of amazing and what an awesome splash page you picked up here. Such a fantastically 90's suit of armor.

Very nice Deodato Iron Man! Congratulations! I remember the action figure but had never seen this page-- pleasantly surprised that it was based on this.

Mike Deodato's work on the Hulk was nothing short of amazing. His work on just about anything is amazing. Love this Armor he designed for Iron Man! Stunning splash page, great pick-up!
