DescriptionPart of a pair of commissions originally dreamt up as a nod to the original "The Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect" covers and picked up back in NYCC 2013, this piece was just included as one of the covers in a series of tribute variants to a legendary comic artist. Thrilled to say the least, as it's always a fantastic day when your commission becomes a published cover.I almost wish at least there was a variant for this issue printed without the colors as, in my admittedly biased opinion, it looks much better (with no disrespect to the colorist of course). But at least we OA collectors can enjoy the beauty of its original form here on CAF. Quick shoutout to my gammabro Dave W for sharing the good news with me! We miss you George. You continue to inspire and awe us with your art and I hope that makes you smile. Social/Sharing |

That's awsome!! It's a great piece by George, I can see why they picked it!

A really nice illustration! I'm not sure what the protocol is after an artist passes away, but I really hope Marvel is sending a check for George's full, last known cover rate to his widow, Carol, though.

Thanks Ruben and agreed, looks like they are working with George's estate for this series so I'm hopeful there's a nice income stream for Carol - check out the article: https://aiptcomics.com/2023/03/23/marvel-george-perez-variant-covers-2023/"

Thanks, T. If Constance Eza of The George Perez Trust is involved, then they no doubt have a financial arrangement in place, which is really comforting to know! Thanks for the link.

Splendid news! A lot of Perez variants will be used across the Marvel titles as an event and having this picked to be the Hulk #1 cover is really special. The event is symbolic of how influential Perez has been for generations and how his legacy will continue to be of great significance.

What a fantastic piece with a great, continuing story. The power in his pose and the expolosivenes of it is captured perfectly! Congrats!
