DescriptionPeople who visit my CAF gallery know that there are certain artists I gravitate towards...talents like Paul Smith, Bryan Hitch, and David Wenzel.Chris Sprouse is another great talent whose work I enjoy collectiing. This is my fourth published cover from Sprouse (the other three Sprouse covers can be seen in my gallery). Unlike the other covers I own from Chris, this one is pencils only. While I love Karl Story's inks on Chris's pencils, it is also nice to see Sprouse's fine pencilwork with no intermediaries. Not only can you see Chris's amazing facility with likenesses, but you can see his amazing talent for drawing complex things, like the two Droids. Social/Sharing |

Knowing what a big PMS fan you are, I can see why you like Sprouse as well. Really nice linework, and this is a beautiful piece. Actually had Chris at my house once. Jim Warden brought him by during one of those years when he was still coming out to do WonderCon. Anyway, congrats on this awesome SW cover. Great pencils!

Nice light pencils by Sprouse with a delicate touch for a combination of publicity stills to get maximum nostalgia for this anniversary cover.

This is a beautifully rendered piece. I can certainly hear John Williams' score just by the artwork alone. The shading and details, especially on the droids, are quite remarkable. Another impressive addition AK.

Wow! Gorgeous Star Wars: Bounty Hunter cover by Chris Sprouse. I can see why you compare Chris to such greats as Paul Smith, Bryan Hitch, and David Wenzel. They all do such nice clean linework. Chris does a great job here, recreating the look of the young Luke Skywalker when he still lived on Tatooine. I also love the detailed work he did on CP3O and R2D2 as well. It's nice to see the original pencils before they were inked. Great pick-up, congrats!

Amazing what Chris can do with "simple" pencil lines. Wow. Congrats!
