Captain America / Black Panther by Sal Velluto & Bob Almond: Pre-show Commissions

Before attending the 2023 Terrificon, a show I am fortunate to attend annually along with my non-profit Inkwell Awards, I found out that my oft-art partner Sal Velluto was invited to attend, too! I can count on one hand how many times this has occurred since we first collaborated in 1997 so it's always a big deal. Sal wanted us to reach out on social media and offer special pre-show commission prices and that paid off for two new clients, a Stephen Pennimpede who wanted a Captain America and another, Randy Funk, who wanted our career-recognized favorite, Black Panther. This would be my 73rd and 74th commission with Sal.

The Cap, my 10th, was inked on a blank variant sketch cover and finished July 15, 2023.

The Black Panther, my 56th, was inked on 8.5"x11" board and finished on July 21, 2023.
