Description
Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 Adaptation #6 Pg. 10
Art by Steven Cummings
Written by Rodney Barnes
Original episode of the TV series written by Jon Favreau

This issue is based on Season 2, episode 6 of The Mandalorian titled "Chapter 14: The Tragedy". The TV episode was written by Jon Favreau and directed by Robert Rodriguez. It marked the triumphant return of Boba Fett to live action Star Wars (after a brief cameo at the end of Season 2 episode 1) among other big/key moments for Star Wars canon/history.

On this page from issue 6 illustrated by Steven Cummings, Grogu is atop "the seeing stone" on a Stone Henge-esque ancient Jedi template location on the planet Tython. They ended up here after getting the intel through Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka Tano in the previous 2 episodes.

Grogu is tapping into the force with extreme power, sending out a force signal/message to another Jedi (which we would later find out in episode 8 would be Luke Skywalker!). He needs a teacher, someone to guide him in the force.

Mando approaches Grogu as he is in deep concentration within the force, and the force field literally knocks him back. It is a precarious situation with Storm Troopers on the Ground and Dark Troopers in the air on their way to capture Grogu. Things are extremely tense.

Meanwhile on the ground Boba Fett (sans his old suit and in traditional Tusken Raider costume) and Fennec Shand are dealing with the Stormtroopers, as we are left with that final shot/close up of Fennec looking like a straight bad ass.

Absolutely loved this episode of the TV show with so many key big moments for Star Wars canon that are coming into play all at once. One of my favorites of the series overall for sure, and this page represents the importance of it really well.

I believe, I believe there's love Gorgu
Grid locked on the Disney Plus reviews
Inside your art, just afraid of Stone
I am more, I am more than Fennec Shand
But just take a chance and Fett is in
And I'll show you ways that are Mando

Don't complicate it,
Don't let the fans bring hate
Yeah,
I have Din patient, but slowly I'm losing faith

So please, I know Luke Baby
I know Luke Baby
So please, I know you Baby
I know you Kavi

Great images of Boba Fett and beautiful, tight pencils, especially on the Fett figure on panel three and all of panel six!

Ah well, the compliments towards the characters in the panels I pointed out still stand. Besides, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.... 😉👍
