Very impressive. Pope recently said on his Instagram that LW&C was his favorite commission subject.
Yes he did, and that LW&C commission he is currently working on is another beauty! 😉
One of his very best Lone Wolf and Cub pieces and that is saying a lot. I'd say top 2 that he's ever done. Big congrats!
Beautiful piece. If I lived closer I would give you a case of sweet pickles. It's complicated.
brilliant, plain and simple. Epic addition Daryl, get that wall space prepped ;-) congrats!
Go jump in a lake.
I like that he uses only that thick line at the top right to show that they are backed into a corner here.
Beautiful!
It's a stunner for sure. Congrats on the score!
Gorgeous image and the large scale of this piece only adds to the beauty. Excellent piece!
Gotta love the line work!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Phenomenal Lone Wolf and Cub art by Paul Pope! Clearly Paul loved this series a lot because he really did an exemplary job on this commission! I love the look of Ogami Itto here. He's strong and determined and protective of little Daigoro. Love Pope's inkwork--It's sharp and crisp and perfect for the scene. Congratulations on a stunning pick-up!
Love it Daryl! Awesome addition to your collection.
Wow surprised this left the previous owners collection. It is one of Paul's best andd definitely wall worthy. He did a great job of taking Frank's work and making it his own. Congrats on such a beauty.
Very nice!
This is admittedly sacrilege (and even more admittedly a biased opinion)...but I think Pope may have even improved upon Miller. Congrats on landing this, Daryl!
Well I don't have any reason to be biased (other than owning the art), but I am inclined to agree with your sacrilegious opinion that Pope's version may indeed have improved upon the original. I really love what Pope did with the scene and his refined version of the characters!
Wall worthy fo sho! Talk about setting a scene. And nobody does those whispy brush strokes like Pope. Outstanding stuff, man, congrats!
Ahh, one I wish I would have never let go. Stellar addition to your awesome LWC gallery!
Damn, I'm not sure how I haven't seen this until now. Absolutely awesome!
