DescriptionComic Art Live Spring 2024 edition, and I finally decided to dip my toes in the Mystery Sketch experience. As most know I live in Las Vegas, therefore I normally don't gamble. Casino owners don't stay in business because the majority of people win. But, over the years it seems the Mystery Sketch gamblers always seem to come up winners. And it would seem I had the same experience! Thanks to Bill for getting this program rolling as part of the CAL weekends. And thanks to Mark Hay at Splash Page for getting some of his repped artists on board. And some gushing thanks to Bridgit. I will admit, I'm woefully underexposed to today's artists who haven't worked on a Star Wars title. And Bridgit has previously not crossed my radar. But, I just might have to go check out her work on the Lady Baltimore series at Dark Horse now. Social/Sharing |

Wow, he's packing four light sabers. Is he the baddest badass in the galaxy?

That's a mystery sketch?! Damn that's awesome!
Luckily, I have a laissez-faire approach to commissions, typically going no further than "Star Wars, artist's choice." I could see where this would be nerve wracking for anyone with a specific vision for a particular piece, or enjoys the conceptual exchange in formulating the idea with the artist. But, with the hembeck market where it is, I may have to soon turn to these other art avenues to spend my pennies. Ha!

Shatner saw the same thing looking out an airplane window in an episode of Twilight Zone ;)
So well done!

I once was lost in Sith but Grievous took me in
And then a Connell line from heaven General
She bathed my art in love and she wrote my name above
And just a Connell art with Grievous makes me whole
Now let us have a little Darth with Grievous
Let us tell Him all Obi Wan troubles
He will hear our faintest cry
And He wields sabers of Jedi
And when you need a ricola wheeze coughing
And you will know that Bridget’s fire is burnin'
Find a little art with Grievous makes it right

Well, you came out a winner for sure, cha-ching! Great copic marker work...those muted colors work so well against the bright pop of the lightsabres. Also looks like's looking RIGHT at the viewer :) Congats, Jeff!
