DescriptionSkyroads started shortly after Charles Lindbergh's historic flight in 1928. Tailspin Tommy in 1929 was the first strip inspired by the excitement of the times but was soon followed by others in short succession including Skyroads by Dick Calkins of Buck Rogers fame. Keaton was an early assistant on the strip and had taken over by 1933. The strip continued until 1941 although Keaton left in 1939 to create a rival aviation strip, Flyin' Jenny. Lee Dworkin took over on Skyroads until it ended.Social/Sharing |

Very nice strip. The sweeping lines do a great job of conveying the speed of the vehicles and plane in flight. Thanks for sharing this here Jeff!
