Karate Kid vs. Splinter by Chris Johnson

I've been following Chris Johnson's work for a few years now, since I first saw it in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Dimension X. He most recently drew the heck out of the Image series Rifters (seriously, go check it out). I've been wanting a commission from Chris, AND I've been wanting a commission of Splinter fighting Karate Kid, so these two goals combined to form the great art you see here! Chris went all out on this commission, giving me a full color fight in the sewer! Splinter delivers an elegant kick, and Val effortlessly blocks it! Watching these two go at it would be like watching a perfectly choreographed ballet. I love it! Check out all those lines in the background! The colors are gorgeous, and the characters look fantastic! But Val is gonna have to wash his boots afterwards! Thanks, Chris!

Hamato Yoshi is a master martial artist. He is also a great sensei. He would approach a fight with Val Armorr as a sparring session in which they can both learn from each other's skills. Would Val beat him? Well, yes, but it would be one heck of a fight.

It's like Chris Johnson put on his Gerhard hat and went to work on these tunnels in order to bring a unique backdrop for this Street Fighter level!

I mean, these guys NEEDED to test their martial skills vs each other! Really dig that contrast and depth of the colored combatants vs the sewer background. Congrats!
