Description
With a scene like this, it belongs more in a Vampirella magazine!!! But, being that the anti-hero is male, I guess it's fine in Eerie.. The prior page has hunter's human mother attacked by one of the demon generals. This page showcases the after effects. Love that image on the bottom left. This is truly one of my top favorite interior pages of all time. Neary is amazing on all fronts. His inking is up there with the best of all time

Definitely for mature audiences.  Neary put his best inking skills to work as he illustrates this most dire and key sequence of the origin.

Agreed Marcus. I was 11 when I bought this off the stands. I had to hide this from my mother or I know she wouldn't let me buy these any more. She was already up in arms about my Vampis---but I kept them at the bottom of the pile----

More great use of lighting and contrasts, sectioning off those 'after effects' and the start of Hunter's life. Nicely executed.
