Thanks, Kavi. If I recall correctly, the crossing melted their flesh. So not the best experience for them.

You now have 2 of my favourite 2000ad covers. Glad I am over this hobby as otherwise I would be trying to do another crazy deal.

Wow, our tastes really do coincide when it comes to 2000AD. A shame I'll never get to hear the crazy deal, though.

To put crazy people in context I once gave 15 pieces of artwork to get one. They were all 2000ad related and included 2 covers, a Dillon Dredd centrespread, 2 Ezquerra Strontium dogs and three McMahon Dredd pages. Also a bunch of Gibbons Dan Dare pages. Conservatively they must have been worth at least twice as much as what I got. Hilariously the person I traded with seemed to be suggesting later that I trade the art I got to get one or two of the pages back. I gave him the perfect nickname after that particular trade.

The ferryman had already burned to death prior to this. This story is fabulous. A high point of British comics.
