Feature Comics #140, homage to THE Atom #8

Ninth entry in my "One More Issue" Project commission series, imagining what might have happened if a Golden Age hero and/or title had been given (as the name suggests) one additional issue.

Doll Man's last appearance in Feature Comics came in issue #139, October 1949, although he continued to headline his own title for a further four years, until Doll Man #47, October 1953 -- but Feature Comics dropped all super-heroic characters with issue #140. But if that hadn't been the case, perhaps issue #140, as drawn here by Mike Walters, modelled on Gil Kane's cover to The Atom #8, and seeing Darrell Dane's miniature alter ego menaced by the Golden Age Dr Light (a recurring foe of Dr Mid-Nite, admittedly at DC/National Comics rather at Quality) might have looked something like this...
