DescriptionI had the opportunity to be Brian's "Executor" (as he calls it) at Toronto's Fan Expo 2008. Wrangling the table, managing the sketch lines, fielding requests and generally doing everything I can to let Brian get done what he wants to get done while still finding some time to enjoy himself.Just by sitting and talking with the man I learn so much about his technique and style and by the time it's over I desperately want to draw something. This is a piece Brian did for me. It is certainly "his" Joker, but he keeps finding ways to tweak the look and the feel to bring across something entirely new. In this case it's a maniacal, completely insane, yet extraordinarily well dressed Joker. Many thanks to Brian. I love this piece. BY THE WAY...This is an example of the kinds of sketches he was doing in Toronto. These were BY FAR the best convention pieces he has done int he last three years. He had three price levels and each level brought increasing detail and time spent. The pieces that came out of the show were simply fantastic. From Joker, to Dredd, to Animal Man to the rest he was knocking them out of the park one after the other. Social/Sharing |

Chris, it was no easy task to man Brian's booth...it was insane, but you handled it remarkably well and the piece is well deserved!

It's like he invented the Joker , nobody comes even close to match Bolland's style on this one . Great sketch .

Managing rabid fans such as myself at the Toronto 2008 convention was no easy task. Congrats on scoring this great piece, which was easily the best art Brian did during the Toronto convention.

Ten years since the last comment!? Incredible that Brian would illustrate this level of detail at a convention, man I wish I had a Time Machine...
