Description

Ben Towle is someone I only heard about from some past Heroes Con reports, but I loved his cartoony style and was looking forward to getting something by him at Heroes this year. Through a suggestion by his art dealer Brian Whitley, I got a commission from Ben and could not be happier with the result. We talked about doing something X-Men related, and after discussing lineups, Ben decided to basically redo Jim Lee's cover to X-Men #1. I was a little concerned about how the layout would work with Ben's style, but after seeing the first set of prelims, I was convinced it'd be pretty awesome. So here's Ben's take on X-Men #1, featuring the Blue Team and Magneto (in a pose that makes more sense than the published comic).
