DescriptionAs everyone knows, trying to solve mysteries is much like a chess game: If you want to solve the mystery, you always need to be thinking several steps ahead. Guice and Perkins took that analogy and turned it into this gorgeous piece which encompasses what Ruse is all about, and what I think is the absolute greatest single Ruse illustration ever produced!Social/Sharing |

Amazing piece ! I must agree that Perkins is a great fit as his inker...(though I also love it when Guice inks himself as well).

This pairing of artists was a perfect blend on this book. I have to say at the time, having never heard of Mike Perkins before, it didn't take me long to appreciate his inking and then his full artistic talents. Congrats on this great piece of Crossgen history!

It was in this series, Ruse, where Guice's work matured into the more visually engaging photorealistic style that he works with today. The writing on this series also was quite enjoyable. Congratulations on getting a memorable piece from this fun series.

The team on Ruse was one of the best all-around art teams on a comic that I have ever read. From Guice's pencils, to Mike Perkins' inks, to Laura Martin's amazing colors, it was just beautiful. Congrats on this fantastic piece (I know, 5 years later, but somehow I missed it until now).
