Description

Seen here are the pencils for X-Factor #40 p6. It shows Madrox casually shopping in a convenience store while it is being robbed. Madrox is sporting his depression chic beard, and has a splint on his broken finger from where Siryn snapped it in a fit of anger. She was having a really bad day.

I really like this page, and have since I first saw it in the comic. I like the layout of it, and I don't know that I've ever read an X-title set in a convenience store before. It's an interesting visual. Plus, I think De Landro did an awesome job on it. I like Madrox's depressed defeated body language, and his complete apathy at being part of a hostage crisis. He even kind of scares the suicidal robber with his darkness and depression.

Madrox is one of my favorite characters in all of comics. In a world of uber powerful, near immortal, larger than life superheroes, it's cool to see a guy with such a quirky power make a go of it. He's just an ordinary guy who can turn into a bunch of ordinary guys. Plus, he has got to rank near of top of Marvel's most disturbed characters. The dude's got issues. All that makes for a fun character, and an unlikely but highly entertaining team leader.

Wow, this is a really great page, Tommy. Sadly, it's certainly relatable to points many of us may have had in our lives. Really striking stuff! Congrats!
