Description
I recommend reading the whole story on Roger Clark's indispensible Carol Day website in order to appreciate the full effect of this strip. It is perhaps the most chilling moment I've ever experienced as a lifelong comics reader. This is the strip that truly sold me on Wright's mastery, and still my favorite of the whole run. I had given up on ever owning it, but apparently things can change... thank you Simon, and, indirectly, Mark!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is the perfect strip. It tells its tale, sets the tone, and evokes emotion in the reader. What a wonderful piece. My favorite.

I thought I had already commented on one of your "runaway girl" strips. But you're right, this is definitely one of the high points of the entire run. Just great to look at.

I can't believe I missed commenting on these 2 strips. A high point in comic art. Showing Carol Day to artist that have never seen Wrights art before is always fun...they are always speechless and flabbergasted that not everyone knows the art and artist.

This still haunts me to this day - both the strip itself and the selling of it.

The cinematic quality of these panels is astounding. Wright's "camera angles" make if feel like a suspenseful movie. A little girl wandering all alone on a foggy night, surprised and then beckoned to enter a strange car by a silent shadowy figure. Talk about horror. Mr Wright's line-work never ceases to amaze.

All the art from "Problem Child" is breathtaking but this is on a level of it's own... Wright at the very top of his game!

Wow. Amazing how he was able to create the impression of light and dark by varying the density of the lines. Love the moodiness of this strip. That second panel is so creepy!

How about for $20 and a Sbux gift card with at least $2.50 loaded on it?

I just spotted something amusing in your for sale description on the strip. You will sell it but not to Really Really. A most unusual name. Sorry for you, Really Really but thanks for giving the rest of us a chance.

It's an extreme measure, I know, but Really was emailing me every week or two for a while there, so I just had to put my foot down;)
