First appearances jam - Flash by Harry Lampert, Metamorpho by Ramona Fradon, Mera by Nick Cardy, Captain Cold by Joe Giella, Huntress by Bob Layton & Wolverine by Herb Trimpe

In 2001 I asked Harry Lampert to draw the golden age Flash for me with the intention of starting a Justice Society jam piece. When I received the drawing in the mail it wasn't quite what I was looking for so I filed it away and basically forgot about it for a decade. After recently rediscovering it, the idea came to me that I could turn it into a first appearances tribute by asking artists who drew the initial appearance of a comic character to add that character to this drawing. Ramona Fradon and Joe Giella added their characters at home via the mail. Nick Cardy, Bob Layton and Herb Trimpe added their characters at the 2012 Heroes Con, which took quite a bit of juggling for me to co-ordinate. As a footnote, Lampert, Fradon, Giella and Trimpe provided the coloring to their characters. Laura Martin colored Mera and the Huntress.
