Description

I really enjoyed the work of the late Harry Roland. At one time, he produced an experimental strip which interpreted, in his style, the beginning of Hal Foster's Prince Valiant page. There were four installments. When I saw these, it led to my request for a Prince Valiant commission by Harry. When the envelope arrived, I was very suprised to find this enclosed with my commission. A very generous gift by a very missed artist. I may not ever own a Foster, but I love my Roland.

Thanks Rob. Like myself, I know you are a huge Val, and Foster, fan. It IS interesting to see another artist's take on the classic origin sequence. This was done quite differently than Harry's other inked pieces.
