DescriptionThis illustration is an homage to one of Carl Barks' most famous stories, Lost in the Andes, in which Donald Duck and the nephews travel to the Andes to find a peculiar place where everything that for the rest of the world is "rounded" here appears as "squared", that includes the local population as well as animals (squared eggs!) and so on.Pencils by the one and only Alberto Lavoradori, one of the most peculiar and easily recognizable modern Italian Disney artists. Just look at how Alberto "designs" the characters and each single element of the picture (the clouds!) and everything appears to be so perfectly balanced. It's a terrific composition. Magnificent, just magnificent. Please also check an inked version by Zemolin, here. Many thanks, Alberto! Paper size: 21.7 x 30.5 cm Social/Sharing |
