Description

This is the back cover for Marvel's MAD MAGAZINE ripoff, 'CRAZY.' Nice to have a piece with his old signature 'G'. This one has been kicking around different collections for awhile, so I've been aware of it. Glad to have it come home, though overly expensive.

Golden was tapped to produce a piece which manages to riff MICRONAUTS and TRANSFORMERS at the same time. Seems to be poking fun a little at my fondly-remembered 'Combiners' from Transformers, too.

Strange, though; the 'to-scale' comedic impact of this piece is diluted by the big-screen TRANSFORMERS movies, but I like the three little boxes on the bottom.

This piece includes it's editorial overlay, with it's precise handwritten instructions; you can see what changed by the time the final version was published.
