LTB Collectors Edition 3 - Donald Duck

This is a special piece.

This pencil artwork has been requested to Andrea Freccero by Egmont for the German LTB Collectors Edition issue #3 where it would have been published in only 1,500 pieces as a signed and numbered lithograph.

It had to be a sort of preliminary artwork of a chosen cover, in this case, a Double Duck cover drawn by Andrea in 2014 for the Italian Disney/Panini (see additional images).

For those of you not familiar with the character, Double Duck is Donald Duck's equivalent of James Bond, working as a secret agent enlisted in an espionage agency called "the Agency" together with a cast of brand new characters (like the beautiful Kay K).
The first story of this (sub)series, "Double Duck", was first published in Topolino (Mickey Mouse) magazine #2735-2738 (guess who's the artist of the very first chapter? Yep, it's Freccero) in 2008 and many new episodes followed and will (probably) follow.

So happy to finally add a Double Duck piece to my collection, a fine pencil and ink wash piece by one of my favorite Disney artists ever.
