Description
The Spirit is a fictional masked crimefighter created in 1940 by the genius of Will Eisner.
Published on newspapers and then on comic books, more recently (2010) found new life in an all new comic book series published by DC.

This is page 09 from issue 16, written by David Hine, that took over the writing reins starting from issue 4, that features the incredible art of John Paul Leon: a splash with the typical "Spirit" written using background elements. Fantastic use of the black & white. Love the way he drew the "BLAM" sounds.

John Paul does the legacy of Eisner and the Spirit justice in this piece. He captures the atmosphere, look and feel of what a Spirit page should be. Excellent addition.
