Look hard, and you'll spot the fore-flattened image of the Baron on the Major's screen in front of him.
I'd always assumed Golden had penciled the 'color plate' on the same type of translucent paper seen on other Micronauts pages, but clearly he used typical blueline pages from the time, and Milgrom lightboxed the inks onto a 3rd page.
Sadly, Milgrom's
inked portion of the surprint is long gone, but a quirk of fate has reunited the 'Master' page with Golden's surprint
pencils, at least.
I also have the surprint pencils for Micronauts 9 page 1, seen HERE, and I would dearly love to unite them with their 'Master' page, too!I have taken the liberty of digitally layering in the surprint image (seen above in grey) onto the inked 'Master' page. The two separated can be seen in secondary images above.
