Action after a German truck exploded, it took out part of the building's corner.
Published in Nick Cardy: The Artist at War, page 93.
In the book, Nick says the damage to the building wasn't his doing. Nick said when driving the tank, sometimes he'd cut the turns real tight and knock the corners off buildings. So if you saw something like that in Europe, it might be his doing.
Nick signed the drawing with a capital V and capital C, this is the start of what would be the "abbreviation"... Cardy.
Nick was originally drafted into the 66th Infantry Division, where he redesigned their shoulder patch. Later, Nick was transferred to the Third Armored Division as a tank driver.
Acquired from Nick's estate via ComicConnect.
