Here is a major rarity -- one of the few surviving HG Peter splashes of Wonder Woman(yep, he drew 4,800 pages and I believe less than 20 survive today). This is unpublished and there is a bit of a mystery around this story as THE RETURN OF NUCLEAR was published in Wonder Woman #43 (1950). This page has a 1951 stamp on it and was written off in 1952 BUT since it was the first story featuring Nuclear, it had to have been created before the 1950 story -- according to Roy Thomas, "writers, artists, and editors in the 1940s simply didn't make up sequels to stories that had never been published" and the top of the page says "Comic Calvacade #25" at the top which would place it in 1947 if it was slated for the CC #25 which came out in early 1948. Perhaps, it was the last story written by Dr. Marston? Who knows?

Is Comic Cavalcade 25 an all funny animal issue that might explain the write off-there were unpublished comic cavalcade stories in the written off art that was saved from being destroyed
