DescriptionINTRO (see below for content exclusive to this post):People who know me know that I love to collect in 'threes.' Tonight I am posting three consecutive covers from the 1990s Green Goblin series. This run of comics featured Phil Urich as the Green Goblin in a heroic capacity. IN THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE, Phil Urich attends a Consumer Gaming Expo, where a guy by the name of Jonathan Gatesworth confronts the owners of a company called CompuBoot, claiming that they stole his work. Gatesworth (codename "Netshape") has developed an invention that incorporates virtual reality technology to give him great power, allowing himself (with the aid of a special body suit)to take on the forms of popular video game characters and superheroes. He and the Green Goblin eventually battle it out, as shown on this cover image. SOME BACKGROUND: Phil Urich has had quite a history in the Goblin-verse. He was the fourth, but very FIRST heroic, Green Goblin. His first few appearance as the Green Goblin were in 1995, in Web Of Spider-Man #125 and Spectacular Spider-Man #225. In ASM #649, he became the supervillainous Hobgoblin. He was later crowned the Goblin Knight (Superior Spider-Man #16) before dubbing himself the Goblin King (ASM vol 3 #5). Social/Sharing |

Batman was whooping him. Should of stayed as him. Everyone knows Batman takes down the Hulk. Never change from Batman to Hulk.
