Here is a stunning piece of Jamie Hewlett Tank Girl original artwork! This image of the futuristic, anarchic punk character was used as the cover to Titan Books' first Tank Girl trade paperback volume in 2009, though, dates back to 1989 when it was drawn by Hewlett and used by the now-defunct Top Ten Soho comic shop in London in their advertisements, on their storefront, and on their bags back in the 1990s.

I'm not sure where it was originally published (possibly in an issue of Deadline Magazine) - if anyone knows, I'd definitely appreciate a heads up! In any case, it's a truly iconic Tank Girl image, quite possibly my favorite of them all!

Love this Tank Girl cover! Jamie Hewlett really packed a lot of crazy detail into this one image! Love the insane-looking cat (?) on her back, the horned cap on her head, the big guns, motorcycle boots, and did I mention the furry tail? It's a wierd mix, but it works!
