Techno woman drinking wine by NIKO HENRICHON
A4 size (8.3in x 11.7in)

Sketch made in May 2010 in Beja, Portugal at Beja's International Comics Festival.
Niko Henrichon was the artist I was asked to write about for the festival's catalogue (published every year and given away for free during the festival).
He had a blast on the festival since he's a fan of wine and the festival is located in a region known for its wines - that's why there's a bottle of Alentejo's wine on the sketch.
In this edition there were so many artists invited it was impossible to do a talk (normally artists are asked for a 15 minute talk with the person that wrote about them for the catalogue) and instead shared a room with Rufus Dayglo going over portfolios.
In this festival artists are asked to do a 1 time session of free sketches for a couple of hours (we’re lucky in that regard in most European events). When it came my turn, after signing all the books/comics I had of him, I told him he could draw anything he wanted and he took his sweet time doing it. People on the line were quite jealous of the level of detail he put into my sketch ahah
We never lost contact since. Overall a super nice person.
