This is SPECTACULAR. An old fashioned cover that would grab the eyes of a kid searching the spinner rack
I was very tempted by this one myself. The composition makes me think of something Neal Adams would've come up with. Very dynamic and suspenseful!

This looks like a rare DC cover created from multiple pieces of original art. I think they usually assembled multiple stats (not actual art) in production to create a cover. Any way, it's a great job by Bob Brown. He's not a "household name" but he definitely did his fair share at DC and Marvel.
The art on the cover is all original on one board. The figure holding the gun is a stat but underneath it is the same figure drawn on the board. I am guessing they did that for the ghostly effect.
Bob was good artist and I remember well his run on Superboy. I love the perspective and I also wondering if someone else did the layouts for him.
