DescriptionThe Frank Miller run with Daredevil and Elektra is incredible stuff. Some of my earliest memories of comics were the Frank Miller run on Daredevil, as my dad read them and gave them to me afterwards to read. I got way into them as I learned to read and again as a teen thanks to back issues at the local shop. I just have so much love for Daredevil as well as Elektra, which was Frank's best creation and contribution to the Daredevil mythos. When I saw that Frank was going to be at Torpedo Con in Hollywood, there was no way I was going to miss this opportunity. I decided I would drive that 500+ miles to be there because I have never met him before and you never know how long he'll be around as he has been sickly looking a lot the past 10 years or so. So I bought the VIP Fan package that came with a head sketch on a blank comic provided by Frank's team, a remarque on an item of my choice, and a signature on another item of my choice. Because Elektra is my favorite of all his creations, I used her as the theme of the show and got this amazing head sketch, a remarque on an Elektra Assassin #1, and a signature on my Daredevil 168 (1st app of Elektra) comic and I am so happy with all 3 of them! When they handed this book to me, I couldn't believe how lucky I was! I love how well she came out, the sadness in her eyes, and the fact that she isn't man-ish like some of the other recent Elektras I have seen. I really scored with this one! We also got a free print with the VIP pass that apparently we could have gotten Frank to sign as well, but I did all 3 days and Frank was the last day for me, so I didn't have it but should have brought it too. I'll add it to the additional images below to show it. But it is by Andy Kubert and inked by FM, not drawn by FM. Social/Sharing |

Nice and clean drawing that is more of his classic look.

Fantastic final inkwork by Frank, but I also love seeing the pencil outlines. Dude's still got it. Huge congrats!
