Unused comprehensive study for the poster of An American Tail: Fievel Goes West.
Another project where Struzan designed several comps for a poster, but didn't get to do a finished version.
To add insult to injury, this time they got another artist to do the finish based on one of drew's comps.
Even though this is a black and white comp, Struzan has nevertheless used a bit of airbrush on this piece in addition to pencils.

While the movie result wasn't as loved as the original, this was created before and has the original charm. They lost Bluth and more (including Struzan) of what made the first movie work.
