Description

Here's an animation cel of Shifter, a semi-friendly ghost who plays an important role in one of my favorite episodes of The Real Ghostbusters: "Partners in Slime." After Janine Melnitz and Louis Tully were captured by Poso, the would-be "Ghostfather," Slimer and the Ghostbusters discover that one of their previously captured ghosts was a known accomplice of Poso (good thing they keep a careful index). They extract Shifter from their containment unit (really cool to see all the character cameos in that scene), and arrange a deal with him to rescue Janine and Louis. This particular cel shows Shifter trying to escape, but the Ghostbusters prove to be VERY convincing.

This is a hand-painted painted acetate cel accompanied by the original line drawing. For comparison's sake, a screencap of the cel in its final form taken from the Amazon PrimeVideo digital copy, around the 7 minute, 34 second mark.
