Cable #1 (1993) page 44

There's just something fun about the early 90's Marvel X-books, when the influence of the Image Comics founders was at its peak. This is an interestingly laid-out splash page from the first issue of Cable's first ongoing series from 1993.

Art Thibert, who's known mainly as an inker, penciled a few issues of X-Men as well as the first few issues of Cable, and I really enjoyed his work. I'm not sure why he didn't do more penciling, but I'm guessing like a lot of inkers, he could ink a lot faster than he could pencil. While Art inked most of the issue, this page was inked by Dan Panosian, who's also done some great work, both penciling and inking since the early 90's.
