This is SO cool! The good old days, when the publishers didn't mind paying an artist to come up with some original art to promote something in house, rather than simply use already paid for art from the comic they're promoting. As you say, these are all great vignettes and nicely illustrated by Buckler. Congrats on owning such a fun piece!
WHY...must I comment on this? Because it's awesome!
How many Jon’zz must Superman beat down
Before you call in Batman?
How many skis must Wonder Woman assail
Before she defeats Hitler’s band?
Yes, and how man bears must the Canary find
Before they're Oliver banned?
Vigilante, and thugs, are shootin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind
Fantastic DC ad page!
This is a fantastic page. I love the vignettes with different characters, and Buckler did a great job with each of them.
Cool promo piece! I love these in-house ads packed with tantalizing reasons to pick up the issue! Great work by Buckler!
Well, why not? Wow, this is a sweet house ad by buckler. I love how it builds tension, and completely agreed about each image being a little vignette. I remember the issue, too. Super cool find. Congrats!
Love the layout and design of this page! Great way to pull you in.
A memorable page from one of the early Dollar Comics. The band was getting back together and adding J'onn J'onzz (making his long awaited return).
This is super cool! Love these full blown promo pages, which is just not something you see much anymore. Buckler is so so good, and this is a great example of his work. Love the action in all the panels! Great pickup!
