Description
This is the May. Day 06. Thirty-One days of Star Wars continues...

Last night on Comic Art Live's CAF Update #93, Bill, Dan Parsons, and I gave away a Clone Wars page in honor of Star Wars week (or month as some of us are observing). So let's do a page inked by Dan today, shall we?

At the galaxy’s center, Han Solo and Chewbacca find a unique manner to cut and run from the Imperial Center of Coruscant, with some unexpected assistance from an unusual source, as they attempt to evade agents of the Empire, and the bounty hunters chasing them down. Into the garbage chute, flyboy, and out with the Falcon concealed aboard a garbage barge!

We'll add a few more pages by Dan over the next couple of days, and also probably later in the month.

Such an awesome page. I really love the whole thing, but looking at the cityscape with the flying vehicles is just one of those images that gets the imagination running wild. Love it.

Ryan and Dan could have approached those first couple panels differently, but sure glad they went all in anyway.

Cool! First we got the more realistic stuff, then you did a 180 and gave us the uber cartoony stuff. Now, we get this, what I describe as typical comic booky art, which falls somewhere in the middle of the other two styles. I'm also very partial to old school, "square and rectangular panel shapes only" page layouts. It's much easier on the eyes and when the artist is a good storyteller, the storytelling is so easy and clear to follow.

The end of this week's line-up will suit you fine then Ruben. The art and stories on this series really circled back to the look and feel of the original 1970s-80s Marvel run in my opinion. Which is ironic, as it would be cut short by the license switch from Dark Horse back to Marvel.

Solo missed the barge that day, he left the trash
But that was all he missed, and he nerf herdin' back
At a cantina in a juke joint car, he made a stop
Just long enough to take a smuggle off the top

Next stop, Old-town, Kelly pens the Chewie down, let it roll
He said, "One ink job Parsons' got it
Han last shot 'first he did it
One for Greedo"

Greedo, whoa, oh-oh-oh
He shot real funny, Maclunkey show
Solo's a-waitin' to unload
Solo, whoa, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
He said, "Two droids, boy. old man. get it
Han last shot, first he did it
One more for Greedo"

Boz Scaggs is a Star Wars name that pre-dates Star Wars if ever there was one. And I am starting to feel guilty about how many comments I am setting you up for in my crazy scheme. Perhaps you should follow the movie format and break out some comments as episodes across multiple pages?
