The pencils are used perfectly for each layer of depth in creating a wonderfully delightful look at Catwoman in her element.

Thank you Marcus! He used different kinds of graphite to get those effects.

The pencils on this are a masterclass in talent and technique. The anatomy and the blending of styles is just too good. WOW, congrats on this!

Thanks Eric!

Dan wanted it to be a special piece and took lots of time and effort to make it that way. Glad you can see that!

At first glance, I thought it was an Anacleto piece.  Boy would I love to see this up close and personal.  Really love the layers of separation he gets from varying the density of his pencils.  Absolutely exquisite!

Thanks Eric!

Dan uses some liquid graphite which he can blend in different ways, along with the tradtional pencil. His unique style.

Normally I don't like busy backgrounds but it works well for this piece; the main figures of Selina and her cat still manage to "pop" and the background is telling a story. The bats in the cat's fur are a cool touch ... ;)

Thank you Ingrid! Dan managed to make it busy, but also worked in less busy parts to make it work well. Glad you noticed the bats in the cats!

Absolutely beautiful piece with all the varying shades of graphite.  There's a level of depth and realism I didn't think was possible with just pencils.  Also, the contrast between the hyper-rendered Catwoman and white block letters is just great.  Congrats!
