I wouldn't describe this piece as a little different or comic art "adjacent". Personally, I see this simply as a piece of Fine Art rather than illustration and as with most of the illustration I've seen from her, she appears to be equally adept in this milieu. It's a very lovely piece that I believe even comic hating significant others would make exceptions for!
Fair enough - I did put it in my "Fine Art and Illustration Art" folder in my gallery , not that anyone really pays attention to that ha.
Oh yeaaaah! I didn't even notice that! But you see? To some degree, even on a subconscious level, you felt deep down that it was a work of Fine Art. Noice!
But in all seriousness, be clear that I'm just telling you what I see, NOT what you should be seeing. That's just how I interpret the work immediately upon seeing it. Doesn't mean it CAN'T be comic art "adjacent" in your eyes. 😘
